Adipex Side Effects
It is a popular weight loss drug, but Adipex side effects may occur especially when you start using it. These side effects occur usually because you body takes time to adjust to a new chemicals. These side effects can be minimized if the drug is used as directed by the physician and you do not need to panic, as some Adipex side effects will fade away with time.
The Common Adipex side effects are -
MILD: Blurred vision, dry mouth, sleeplessness, irritability, stomach upset or constipation may occur the first few days and naturally go away when your body gets used to diet pill. The other side effects include central nervous system effects, gastrointestinal disturbances, and changes in libido. If these Adipex side effects persist or become bothersome, you should talk to your doctor and you may have to discontinue its use. If side effects like dizziness or lightheadedness occur, avoid driving or engaging in activities that require being alert. Patients who have hypertension should use Adipex with caution and alcohol should be avoided as it may increase Adipex side effects.
MODERATE: Chest pain, pounding heart, difficulty urinating, breathing difficulties or swelling may occur as the symptoms of Adipex side effects.
SEVERE: Cases of primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH) and cardiac valvular disease have been reported in patients receiving a combination of phentermine and fenfluramine (phen-fen) or dexfenfluramine. The possibility of an association between PPH and the use of ADIPEX-P alone cannot be ruled out. Therefore Adipex should be used with caution if you have heart problems.
You should not ignore the side effects if they occur, as it may cause severe health problems. You will need to consult your physician if the side effects worsen.
Adipex side effects should not be kept in the dark and your doctor should be told about them. But minor Adipex side effects do require raising an alarm, as they will fade away with time. |
